I'm not an expert on German helmets especially ones that are Normandy camouflage. But I must say that this is a very common example of an artificially "aged" helmet. I've seen a lot of liners on eBay that look very similar to this example. I've always said that if the liner leather has that wood look on it, avoid it because it normally is an easy red flag of oils and stuff that were applied to it recently. The Camo unfortunately looks recently applied, and the chinstrap looks like it is good quality, but a fine reproduction. The only thing that might be ok about this helmet is the actual steel shell itself. The shell is probably original which 90% of the time they normally are, but what you've usually got to watch out for are fake decals, paint, liners, and chinstraps. Yea, I would proceed with caution for sure with that one. Once again, I am no expert on helmets so don't fully rely on me all the time.
