Lsr scope can and accessories

I have to thank Kelly for letting this one go; it had no godly business residing in his extensive G/K 43 collection. I picked this up at the SOS, (Clay drove 100 miles round trip to pick it up for me before he left for the show, thanks Clay.) The photos were taken prior to the sale, but they are perfect. It doesn't match my LSR's serial number, but it will most certainly do.

Accessories: the sling has the small SC w/pinetree ( Scmole & Co) on the inside of one clasp(not pictured). Scope key and rail cover were an amazing bonus.

Nice Can with all the Goodies . Key is Original/Correct and that is the the Cherry on Top

A bit tough to make out the serial - is it 2658? I'd assume this is a Sauer serial, Dave?

Very nice rig, especially since this complete! Now only for the rifle matching to it to turn up!

Nice set, very nice!

Again, the accessories are the best part! I need a key at some point, but they just don't turn up that much.

I know you probably want an original, but there was someone doing spot on nice repros a ways back...picked one up myself back then to go with my IO LSR repro...might be able to find one of them floating around...

The Can could be from/for a Late 45 produced Gustloff . Mrfarb had LSR 2189 with Mount 2644

Did they really bother on scope cans in 1945? Especially since the bcd45 coded ones didn't start on 1st January 1945. That scope can then most possibly didn't even make it out the door from the factory!

Lol we’ll talk Mike, Im gonna need some of your cleaning kits for my blossoming field gear collection.

In all seriousness, if this is a guaranteed original lsr tool, strap, can and cover then this post should be added to a sticky on what to look for in original lsr tools. For whatever reason it’s nearly impossible to find real lsr keys to compare to, most are repros. We had this issue when trying to establish a baseline original for the book.

That LSR 2189 is not in the posted serial data base. Is that stamped bcd4 or bcd45? I would love to see more pictures of the complete rifle.

I know we always say it, but this IS the best forum bar none. I was lucky enough to procure that scope can and accessories, so I’m happy to share it with everyone. I’m sure we all have some interesting items we could post for discussion.
