I may have a problem.

Three ii block 44sgx, one hh block 44sgx and one gg block 44asw

I wonder why one block is easier to find? For me at least. My hh shows honest use, and carry wear. Did hh suffer high losses?

What do other people have?

Nice bunch, doesnt look like a used pieces, the natural color frog have a strange light metall rivets? any stamps there? It depends where are the pieces found, most real there are bunches of ff and gg which ended in middle Europe as never went to USA, but the hh and ii are mostly found in USA also brought back by GIs, the most scarce samples are of jj and kk range, which mostly majority were probably melted down in 1945/6.

The tan frog one doesn’t show in the photos but Lance has seen it, it shows genuine wear and carry. Even the blade. Not bad but if was definitely used. Probably picked out of a surrender pile. I added the frog….,

I have two identical frogs and there are a number of others. Rbnr marked.

Could be ok, i am only confused in looking as a alu rivets there? I have too one natural color RBNr frog but with steel rivets (0/0655/0018).Maybe its only on picture quality.

The frog is fine. The marking is 0/0655/0013 for the firm of Rahm & Kampmann, Lederwaren Werk Kaiserslautern. I own several of this ilk with slight variations. The rivets can be plain (white), electroplated, or galvanized steel. The leather is rough-out with smooth leather retention strap. The stud is generally painted steel although I have one example with this component in aluminum (pictured in the Reference Photo section as well as Roy Williams' book).

This is correct of course. To illustrate the rarity ..... There are actually more reported examples of 45sgx pieces than 44sgx in the jj and kk blocks combined.

I guess this one survived with clean rivets. Likely
Plain steel and stored right.
They are not as bright in hand, and the stuff had remnants of grey paint.

My other one has some corrosion on rivets but clearly plain metal, and grey paint on stud. One sourced in Canada, from old collection, the one we discussed was a dealer in PA.

First one posted, You can see they are less. Bright then they looked in the group photo.
