Is it possible that you have a late un-numbered mount? If that's the case it does match my ac45!

yeah some how Ive ended up with three un numbered mounts

one paired with a late ddx as a set as it came back on a rifle

this mount, which is 359 proofed

and I have one that is a square end, all phosphate, with no proof or number

Hello JM, I purchased a set of scope covers that are the same as the one shown in your pics. Are these from any period or are they generic 43 to 45? thanks BS

I consider the white prestoff type later war, I see them mostly on later scopes...not sure if known when exactly they appear

ealier war scopes Ive seen use nice black prestoff, nice rivets, these white ones always have crude rivets, and look like other items that were made hastily later in the war

Rare one

I cannot believe more people haven't commented on this more than rare scope....

Most of us will never get a chance at something like this. I don't know of more than a handful of these.

Best pics of one that I have seen.

Man, I passed on one of these at a garage sale today....they wanted too much anyway. Asking price was $50.00.

I'M KIDDING. This is a rare scope, I hope to find one someday at Tasco prices.

This really is a great addition to Your already wonderful collection , I know were one is myself but as of Yet the owner will not Part with it . Probably one of the Rarest Scopes to have survived the War , Just an amazing find I know of 8 in collections and I think about a total of 12 to be known in all . Anyone have different info on how many total known .

Mike is Secretive when it come to that scope ,He won`t even show ME a Photo of It . He says It to Rare to Photograph he would not want to take its soul by doing So .
