Large Contingent of S84/98 T3s 2024 SOS

Have been watching a number of YT videos of the recent SOS (since I was not there, but still wanted to get a "feel" for the show). Some vids only focus on interests of the videographer and often that is German regalia, daggers, etc., which is not really my interest. I saw the posted vid a couple days back and was impressed with what looks to be someone's S84/98 T3 collection up for grabs. If you were at the SOS and stopped by the vendor's table, would like to know the back-story and your evaluation of the merch. The S84/98 T3 spot starts @ 4:30 minutes into the vid...

Well maybe the seller is basing his prices on some Schwanzlutscher scalping blades on ebay for 1500 dollar piece.

Most of the German bayonets I saw at the show had prices in the stratosphere. Just my 2 cents.

Its been a long time since I found a decent blade at shows. Granted I am not actively pursuing it like I was 20 years ago. I think most dealers just sell them online where they bring top dollar. Or they price them according to generic pricing info from Ebay without knowing the specifics about what makes some worth more than others.

Thanks to all for your input. Items being "overpriced" at the SOS... how could that be? It was said back in the '80s, when the O.G.C.A. shows in Columbus, Oh. were at their peak, if you had collectible arms which were scarce, superior condition, etc. to sell, take them there as collectors would pay the most for them. Guess it kind of goes with the territory...

Thanks for all the farking adhesive price stickers on the scabbards, etc ......
The absolute worse! It's the same over here, last matching asw44 in top condition I've seen at a show (France) was offered at 380 euros... and they won't accept any offers so negociating is out of question. That's how the hobby goes these days!

Thanks for the enlarged, still photo of this grouping. It represents a classic definition of the term "sticker shock" and why so many bayos remain on the table...
