K43 gas block movement?

Just put a gas block on my QVE restoration and made a pin that’s a tight fit. The gas block still has 2-3 degrees of movement each direction from center line. Does anyone know if this is normal and or not a big deal? If I need it to be solidly in place any ideas on the best way to do that?

The gas block and the barrel are not original to each other. Pin hole in the block too small for the groove in the barrel?

Perhaps a tapered pin will help, or you might have to drill out the hole in the block to match the diameter of the groove on the barrel.

This is what I'd do, but I'm no machinist.

Make double sure the gas block and barrel ports are lined up first, and don't trust two mismatched parts to match up right from the get go. It would suck to finally get everything together only to realize you have a crappy straight pull bolt action.
 
I have had a few builds with this issue on the gas block and front sight. You have to find a slightly bigger pin and possibly slightly open the hole bigger on the block or front sight depending on the size of pin that you get. It MUST be tight and not move at all!!
 
If the gas block is moving it also means gas leakage which could affect cycling.
Maybe dribble a bit of Locktite in between the barrel and the gas block to retain it and also seal the gas from escaping.
