K43 AC45 dual lug

I was wandering what is the opinion on this K43. Stock doesn't seem that rough like others to me, so I am not sure if it was sanded or not.
Thanks, Jack

It’s not sanded, but it should not be numbered, that is fake.

I had a minty d block once that I sold to a guy (the serial of this rifle reminds me of it). He took it right out and shot it, the stock literally cracked at the wrist and ruined it. It ended up on gunbroker a month later broken. I always wondered what happened that rifle. I have to see if I can find the serial of that rifle.

People like this make me want to pull my hair out. Like that YouTube jerk who put hundreds of rounds through his matching mag ac42 until the slide cracked.

There are so many mismatched weapons, imports, and sanded stocks to shoot and break. Leave the nice ones alone.

My own ac45 d block is only 150 serials earlier. Also a dual lug, but my stock is more blonde and has at least been lightly sanded but the chatter is still quite clear. My stock isn’t serialized but I’m not going to say your stock markings are fake. Instead, I’ll say that it is unusual in that it is serialized. My example has no bolt hold-open but does not have the reverse 45 in it. That’s a very fine rifle in my opinion. Congratulations!

Yes, stock numbers are fake. And as pointed out, should not be serial numbered anyways. Stock serial numbering stopped around the N block in 1944. This is much later.

First I thought misprint it's a ac44, I thought I am looking and Yeah looks good, then came no hold open latch hahhaa!!!!

Wow

I have parts of a blown up d block. Somebody sanded the crap out of the stock and the wrist was too thin.

Sold it to a guy as a wall hanger. He came back a week later.....fired it in his basement... I don't know how he didn't kill himself.

Yes...he was drinking....

Some late marked ac44 bolt carriers had the “no bolt hold open lever”, but not an early d block ac44.

I thought this rifle was going to be good...’till I saw the numbers on the stock. Even if it was good, that buy now price sucks.

Do you have a link to the ac42 video? I'd love to read the comments.

I had to look at the listing. Sure enough, that is one steep BIN price. A nice rifle to my eyes less that serialized stock. Why in the eff would someone do that to such an otherwise very nice rifle? It’s not the first time we’ve seen humping to increase selling price result in actually hurting the price. Of course now I’ve got to question the rest of the rifle especially the bolt carrier and it’s serial as it doesn’t exactly match the fonts used for the receiver serials.

The bolt carrier is right on this one. No telling what could be going on inside with the bolt components though.

Something punched the Hell out if it. I think the stock on this one has been lightly hit too. Could be the photos though. Their photos suck, way too “yellow’ey”. Price sucks too. G.43 bcd rifles are rare, but that price for one better be 100% right plus something extra.

I'm glad I snagged that bcd a-block listed for sale here a few weeks back. It's right as rain with an unsanded stock. I'm very very happy with it.

I remember, give it time. Everything will go up higher today is higher than 2014. At least he isn't hyping it as BD!

And this one seems to have stock cleaned up and sanded a bit, or am I wrong. Still trying to learn in that aspect.

I would want to see the two side e/214 proofs (if they still exist). The lighting and photos just suck. The wrist stamp looks nice and crisp, but the color of the stock doesn’t look right. The numbers look okay, but dark compared to the rest of the stock which makes me think the stock has been, at a minimum, cleaned up. Two other stock proofs we would need to see: the wrist “dimple” proof (a BLM thing) and the stock maker keel proof that should be south of the serial number.
