Interesting article on weapons used at Normandy. Small picture on page 34. The caption is as follows. " A military policeman carefully cleans his war trophy near the village of Etienville: a Gew.41(w) semi-automatic rifle. Although uncommon in Normandy this image proves that the Gew.41(W) was there." One of the other pictures shows a landing craft returning Glider Pilots to their ship for return to England. Leaning against the starboard gunwale are a K98 and SVT-40 Tokarev. Original of this picture must be clearer than the one in the magazine as it's very difficult to make out SVT-40. I did not include/attach the photos as I'm not sure what legal issues are involved with doing so. Anyway, if you get the magazine check it out.
