1943 CE Mauser k98

Help please I have a CE 43 k98 that has had its bluing removed, it has the serial number 7448, eveything matches except the bolt, I'm trying to find more information on my gun it has 2 cursive Rs it looks like and then a bc on the barrell underneath and proofmarks 37 under a eagle, 280 on the side of the chamber, it says 7448 and then a weird logo under the sn what is this? Is this a romanian capture or russian?

I was told this is a Yugoslavian produced K98, but have no other information. I am trying to determine the bore diameter and barrel twist, plus any other historical information I can find.

Hi can anyone help me ID this one?
I think it's a Sauer from 1938.. the action is silk smooth.
Unfortunately the barrel is changed by the Norwegian army to 30-06.

My plan is to rebuild this one to a long-range rifle.. 6,5x55barrel , GRS stock, timney trigger, new firingpin and spring, m70 safety..

1 Is there a difference in quality from different manufacturers of Mausers?
I know it changed a lot over the years but from company to company?
Different values for the same year and condition?

I have not been buying or selling for years.
My K98 is a 1936 S147 Russian capture matching except for the front band. Stock barrel receiver

Newly Aquired 1939 147 JP Sauer and Sohn K98

Good evening,

This rifle came out of a large collection here in Northern California and appears to be all matching serial #1432. Richard Law's 2nd edition book notes the lowest observed serial number for this Mfg and this year was 2106. I was told it was a bring back but I don't have the back up documentation. Needs to be cleaned up some and has some light surface rust from storage in a few areas. Any comments are appreciated.

Dot 1944

Well, I hate to say it but I probably found out about this site a little too late from my buddies over on AR15
I wanted to at least share the serial with you all

After doing some basic research I believe I had a DOT model 98 with a SN of 358 (stamped in at least 4 places). its been in a gun cabinet for the last 50 years and my dad believes it was a bringback. This gun appeared (to me) to be in pretty rough shape but it still has the original sling and scabbard so I thought that maybe someone would have interest in it. My dad wanted me to sell it, and I've been so busy I went the path of least resistance....this gun might still be at CS Arms in Upperville VA

CE 44 RC serial number

I have a recent import RC marked CE block, 44, #4773 mix & match bolt, waffenamt intact, great bore.
Barrel code is fxc CW, script Mod. 98 on receiver.
I paid $850 for it....maybe a little high but I'm happy to have it.

Hi, First time post. My JP Sauer. Code 147 SN 6613 a. All numbers including the bolt match. I have however, not removed the barreled action from the stock to verify stock and handguard.

I currently have a 1937 S/147 JP Sauer and Sohn. Serial number is 2524p. Rifle has a matching laminate stock as opposed to a solid wood stock. Take-down disc has kriegsmarine property mark O.6243. I have already made a separate post with pictures attached.

Hi there, I have 147 1940 1829 L (lower case) and the receiver of 147 1940 2481 L (lower case). Both were made for the Wehrmacht first, then used for the Swedish contract and were later forwarded to Israel. They are both marked accordingly.
I am usually not fishing in the Sauer pond, but these were of interest to me due to the Tsahal connection. Cool story, btw.
1829 L presumably had been rebored to 8mm Swedish, and, as nobody else uses this caliber, was rechambered to 8mm Mauser again, using a late war spare barrel of "dot" / Czech production.
2481 L was rebarreled to 7,62 NATO and ripped apart later.
