Sweet, thank you! I’m new to ww2 firearms and I’m trying to do my research and I just haven’t seen any with a font like that and just wanted to confirm. Appreciate the reply! It's correct. A couple of manufacturers used Gothic font.
Check out the reference section here on the forum. You'll see some Erma and JP Sauer examples like that. Good luck on your auction. Hopefully you've done your research, Gunbroker is a minefield....Sweet, thank you! I can't emphasize this enough. Gunbonker and awkshuns have SO many mines you're actually more likely to get clobbered than get a 'deal'. I'm not saying this to discourage you but just being honest.Check out the reference section here on the forum. You'll see some Erma and JP Sauer examples like that. Good luck on your auction. Of all the markings and other things to be worried about when reviewing a K98 for sale on Gunborker, that one is probably at or near the bottom of the list.
where on the Gun is that located ? is it a 98k ?Hi! I’m currently bidding on this Kar98k on gunbroker and everything looks good but I’ve noticed where it says “mod 98” it seems to be in a different font then all the others that I have seen. Is this real or fake? Thank you!
Yes, it's on the left side of the receiver, right behind the ring.where on the Gun is that located ? is it a 98k ?
