Is This a MO Standard Model Bolt?

Have had this bolt in my junk drawer for years and thought it was G98. Another recent post prompted me to look at this one more carefully.

Hard to see in the pictures but there are B & U proof marks which are commercial acceptance proofs. So, Is this bolt for a Standard-Modell?

That's certainly the direction I'd lean. Looks very similar to my Banner K's bolt, except for the obvious not being bent part.

At any rate a B/U set of proofs is wrong for a G98.

I'm far from dialed in on commercial rifles, but most of the ones I'm familiar with had a turned down bolt.

Maybe a hedge bet on something like a Wehrmansgewehr, but my first thought would be Standardmodell as well.

It is a standard model bolt. Check the picture reference section.
I did check the pictures and thought I was on the right track. Thanks all for the confirmation. I just wish it was in better shape as my nice SM has a Gew bolt.

I'm going to be the voice of dissent and say that it is simply a commercially proofed straight handled bolt. Without other markings to tie it to Mauser it could have been any number of other manufacturers and could be pre-WWI, or post WWI. It could be a "military" rifle sold commercially, or any number of commercial rifles.

Sound reasoning. Thanks for the comment. If I where to pass it along to someone I would use that kind of description.

I double checked the bolt face in case it was from some flavor of Wehmannsgewehr. Looks to accommodate a standard 7.92mm case head.
