Good evening Forum.
I need opinions on this bnz42.
It is a matching no.'s k98 that is missing the sight hood and cleaning rod, but besides that all original.
The "O" on the heel of the stock and what could be a couple of "M"s inside the barrel channel (not sure), may point towards Marine Ostsee, but no other markings as "K", "M" or "O" on the stock or take down disc are present.
The "e" on the flag safety lever I assume is an inspectors mark?
Looking for opinions on this rifle.

The e and the e/221 is for a part supplied by Hermann Köhler and most commonly found on Gustloff assembled guns. Could be a replacement I suppose, but I see it's serial numbered to the rifle.

One other thing I noticed is the effect of the rationalization. Very light on the acceptance with only a small amount of the parts bearing the e/623 acceptance. Also the only (shown) Radom supplied part being the trigger guard. Maybe this was one of the 1st parts supplied by them that showed up in production?
