Imperial ammunition!

I love those two -- never seen the earlier type and the markings are great. mine has none at all. Storz's book has a great section on these, with some amazing pics of bandoliers folded up in to so-called "battle packs", which in turn would have been loaded into a Patronenkasten 88. I've got a bunch of 36-45 PK 88's like many of you I suspect, but have only found one imperial. also 1918 dated. I dont know if the top strap is original or added, but otherwise they are exactly like the WWII versions. Also on my bandolier, there's only one that I could wiggle out and check, and interestingly enough, it has a mix of dates/makers. So I think in addition to the stuff that came directly from the mfgr., quite a bit of it was re-packed and shipped back to the front.
