Guys I need several images and figure would try the forum first.

1. Small 'ss' inspection stamp found on 1942 and 1943 Gustloff K98ks, stamped just ahead of the sear on the receiver flat.
There is much debate on what these mean but one thing it does not mean is that the rifle is SS or any resemblance off.

2. Top down receiver images of AX/AR 41 and BCD/AR 41

Short list and thanks,
Bruce

I'll have a bcd42 in January, but it is a depot XII build (RC). Don't know if that will help or not, or if January will be too late.

that Bcd receiver was used by Berlin Lubeck. The small ss would be on the underside of the receiver. Possibly added by Gustloff ?

FYI, totally unmarked on my '41bcd g-block. Only a large '6' or '9' on the chamber end of the receiver flat.

Right receiver: 1, e, e/749, e/749, e/749 (Astrawerke, then 4 eagles)

I'd caution people to not infer that this marking means the rifle has any connection to the SS ( a typo in Bruce's post seems to infer that). This marking appears to be done at Astrawerk, the manufacturing location of these bcd receivers. It's some type of in process inspection, or appears that way. It may not have a thing to do with the SS.

My bcd43 has two overlapping sharp W stamped there. So perhaps a trend would be seen if looking T them as just letters over "SS"
