Some stock wanker got some new dies and went crazy with the die derp.

And ONE-HUNDRED AND THIRTY-SEVEN PICTURES of his handiwork too!!

Saw that one yesterday did you guys notice that every stamp left a nice little square around it? It's pretty easy to see that this rifle is humped but judging by those bidders they've taken it to $1,800. So that tells me they didn't do their homework.

I did see that. Stuck out like a sore thumb.

is there any true German stamp that ever has a square around it or is that as tell tale a sign of a hump as anything? I can't think of one but I'm still learning.
I know that one is humped but I don't recall ever seeing that on any K98 before.

I saw that too. What the guy needs to do is sand the stock down to where the squares disappear and then spray the whole thing with Krylon[emoji3481] Clear Coat. No runs, no drips, one big collection of errors!

It would be nice if Gunbroker had some sort of a comment section to call stuff like this out... Plus warn people to do their homework lol. I'm sure sellers would absolutely LOVE a comment section.

You guys are just jealous. It's a tight fresh half track hauled silver wonder slap covered with wafenamts!
Who wouldn't want it?
Someone did recently post on a svw triggerguard that had a square indentation from stamping.

Really gave the stock the "glazed donut" look. That sling beats all too. Am sure it will sell unfortunately.

There was indeed a post about an SVW? qnw? ... stamp but analysis of known “good” rifles around the same time period indicated that several other rifles had such a square, AND ALSO displayed the exact same wear to the letters of the die, indicating that they were hitting a worn out die extra hard to get a good impression, as by 1945 there weren’t going to be any new dies coming.

Yeah I read that comic book fantasy. Cool story bro!

Dragom had a thing for just crushing his fake stamps into the wood when he started. He also loved to add them all over. Lot's of them. Then he transitioned to the huge stamps that never existed. I guess some of these guys just can't help themselves?

2 low feedback guys going at it. One even has 'ww2collector' in his GB name. Sure dude if you say so.

Yeah,

Check out the buyer "feedback" of "kansasww2collector". All byf_41 love, all the time. Shill. Seller is in a bromance with himself.

The current bidding, with the current "winner":

The chap competing with him, a bidder since last month, and all five transactions......

I check who I am bidding against in auctions and I stop when I see something like this unfolding unless my bid is quite under the value. In this case, the "bidding" eclipsed value at least $1000 ago. All my humble opinions of course.

Holy crap. Never saw so many 280 stamps on one rifle, sometimes with one over the other! I'm sure the sling swivel hole was filled in right at the end of the war by gnomes in the Black Forest.

Actually, Gunbroker will ban you for exposing fraud and fakery, as part of their rules/terms of service is that you are not allowed to say anything negative or "disparaging" about other Gunbroker "members".

Some folks here might remember that I used to be very active and vocal about exposing fake and humped, or otherwise misrepresented, Mosin snipers where ever they might be encountered, including Gunbroker, and was THE go-to person if someone wanted to know if a Mosin sniper was real or not. And there were a few Gunbroker sellers, such as that "Little Nosh" (and his 100 other aliases) guy in Eagle, Idaho who were famous for their prolific fakes and forgeries.

I would regularly expose and list the bogus Mosin snipers that various Gunbroker sellers as well as various importers and dealers were pimping off as genuine, on the various Mosin and other collector sites I was a member of.

This must have hurt their business and burned their little criminal swine asses, as they complained to CumChoker about my shining a light on their larcenous activities, as ScumJoker banned me for this.

The fact that everything I said was true and every rifle I said was a fake was indeed a fake was irrelevant, as was the fact that these crooks were outright and deliberately stealing money from other Gunbroker members. Calling liars and thieves liars and thieves is not allowed on BunPoker.
