How I can tell if real or fake?

Be patient. Read as much as you can at this forum. Figure out what you are looking for, such as year, maker, condition. Study the sticky pics. Do not be afraid to ask questions. Most of these guys are glad to help with any question. We do have a few grumpy old men that might give you a hard time on occasion. You got to remember this forum has so many "new" members that pop up wanting an all-matching rifle, NOW! Ask the same questions, maybe find what they want and then are gone. We hope that all new members are sincere in wanting to learn about the K98k and stick around. There is a great group of guys here with tons of knowledge you will not find anywhere else. If you find a rifle, you can post it here before you buy it, just remember, no live auctions. Watch the trader section and again be patient.

Thank you very much. I have gotten great support from this group and appreciate it. I posted about my PTR44/MP44 before and got help. Have been getting a lot of help around the k98k. What I have realized is that there is a giant learning curve. One member has been private messaging me, sort of took me under his wing, incredibly grateful for his help and replies like yours. Thank you so much. Appreciate you for that.
