Help with information on steyr pistol

Yep I feel that I got spooked on a couple pu snipers which im regretting like crazy. Bad thing is one wasn't even a real sniper but a m39 converted to one. The wooden stock is what made me want it. It was beautiful. I heard that Mitchell mausers pu snipers are good to go but not the k98s funny how that is

Agreed I thought that was very funny as well and shoulda bugged my grandpa into getting one of those because they actually hold and accrue value alas I wasn't aware of what MMC was doing at the time with the K98K's. Finding a MMC PU with the Molot marked box and import mark on the bottom side of the barrel is not gonna be easy at all and that's what I was looking at last time :( the buy now button got hit tho so it was swiped. Oh well.

Yea well kinda bad news i can't get the steyr now. Kinda won an auction that i didn't think I was going to win. I won a pristine condition m95 steyr rifle and I won 300 rounds of nazi marked 8x56r ammo to go with it. So now I'm out because I don't have the funds.

Very nice man! Since the auction is over drop a link cause I'd love to see it :) and chances are it will sit for a little while longer. Enjoy that 8x56R recoil 🤣 when ya can grab a set of dies for it because PPU makes the bullets and brass still for 8x56R. Also try burying the front sight in the bottom of the notch when taking it to the range and see how much you have bury it to be on paper at 100 yards. If the Italians trained there soldiers to do that with there Carcanos then it's not far fetched at all that the Austrian trained there guys to do that as well.

Thank you yea it's all new to me. I've been wanting a steyr rifle to go with my steyr pistols. Idk why I have a thing for steyr for some reason. Everything Austrian I like.lol how is the recoil on these rifles. Ive always wanted a straight pull rifle I was looking at the m95s or the k31s or k11 Swiss rifles. I always wondered why they never made that the thing for bolt actions. Are they weak actions or something. I don't know Amy new rifles that are strait pulls

Here's the CE41 I just won that I mentioned yesterday, gonna wait for another email but I should get payment out Monday morning or afternoon for it.
In regards to straight pulls it's mainly a preference thing imo, straight pull rifles are really neat and may be a bit more expensive to produce than a turn bolt design maybe? I own a K31 and it shoots way better than I can but I need to grab some GP11 ammo and give that stuff a try aside from my handloads. The Swiss rifles are really more for a hand loader now since GP11 is running around $600 for 480 rounds because there's been no fresh ammo contracts from Switzerland and all the old stock is basically burned up. There are new production straight pull rifles but it's mainly a Europe thing although I think some have made there way over to the US. 8x56R is relatively stout in the recoil department it's a 220 grain bullet running 23 or 2400 FPS at least out of the carbines it's stout, with a rifle I think it will be similar to a 98K or so.
