Is there a view of the left-receiver that shows the serial and receiver fireproof?
This appears to be a Simson ordnance spare receiver mated to (apparently) an S28 type barrel, which creates something inexplicable so far as known patterns go. Two different variants mated, though probably a Simson ordnance spare receiver found its way to the S28 program, or some queer mating was made in the early-mid 1930's.
This is not a factory mating probably. Though I seemingly can't view all the photographs but I suspect my internet connection may be the culprit, it is as reliable as Uncle Joe, you can always be assured of disappointment (comical if it were happening to someone else...)
