Apparently I had a 'premature retraction' yesterday morning. :ROFLMAO: I should have known better. I guess Miller Tyme had enough open discussion.
 
Mission compete looks like. However, I do feel bad for the OP and his purchase. Really sucks to be hit with a reality check after all those positive comments. I’ve been there myself, it stings bad especially when you spend a good amount of your hard earned money.

You have to pay attention to who is commenting. Not to put too fine a point on it, but while there are people here who very much know their stuff there are also those who don't but will still leap at the opportunity to get their opinion in.

We all get it wrong from time to time. I think it’s people trying to help and be complimentary of a new collector. The bolt pic here was less detailed and probably not too many K98k collectors have examined a matching dou. 42 in hand, much less owned one. It immediately jumped out to me because for the last 35+ years I’ve had an interest in Czech Vz and K98k production and have owned a couple matching dou. 42. The bolt numbering is distinctive and that ain’t it.

Yeah, sorry if I was being snippy, it was a combination of me being irritable for off-board reasons and something similar elsewhere on the forum rubbing me the wrong way.
