Got my Gew 98M

Just got back from Afghanistan last week and my great wife had picked up a Gew 98M for me (I got it off Gunbroker and she did the rest). Really nice shape Spandau 1917 action with it seems a 1938 dated barrel. The rifle is a complete match to include the TG screws, handguad and stock as well as all bands......except for the bolt which matches itself and is a WWI era nice shape bolt. Bore is darn near exc+ with a tight sharp muzzle. Was duffle cut but nicely repaired and strong. Could not be happier with this old long girl.
These may be addictive like the 98K is....

I agree, post up some pics. These 98m rifles are very addicting, but getting harder to find good ones.

OK. I will take some pix and post them.

I was in RC South. Kandahar and Zabul provence. Mostly down in the Horn area of SE Kandahar. 2ID.
