Gew98 slings

I have two different Gew98 slings, and I’m trying to figure out the age of the two.
One has a sewn on quick release but a button on M-band, and the other one is vice versa!
Could one be for Gew88?

No expert on Imperial arms, but I understood that the one with the button on quick release was the first variation

Left is a 1st pattern, the right is a 2nd pattern. If I'm adding a sling to a rifle, I generally put 1st patterns on prewar guns and 2nd patterns on wartime. I believe 1913 was the introduction on the 2nd pattern, but I won't guarantee I'm right off the top of my head.

Note the leather flap and quick detach is removable on the first pattern and the buckle is affixed to one end of the sling.

On the 2nd pattern, the quick detach is sewn into the sling and the buckle is detachable.

That left sling is a first pattern naval sling, note the black stitching. Is there a Crown/M anywhere on it?
