German re-issued Steyr m1912

Since others had contributed theirs too, attached pictures of an uncommon Steyr 1912 with 08 conversion - note that the serial is followed by the Steyr Logo. It is believed these pistols were for an inter-war Police contract of less than 2000. Note that this particular pistol has a matching number on the lanyard loop (!), one of only two known to have a matching number there. Opposite side is post WWII marking from the LandesGendarmerieKommando NiederÖsterreich - those were also the ones which reblued the pistol for service.

Very Nice G.. I have seen a few 1919 versions.. I owned one years back and stupidly sold it.. Its posted here somewhere. Also managed to get back my unit marked 1917 still in 9mm sty.
for some odd reason I like these and so do others..

I was offered one of these for $1500. Seemed a bit high and not really in my scope of collecting. Plus I put some money down on a Werndl that week, so my wallet was already light.
