German captured/modified Yugoslav Model 1924

Just picked this one up. 1938 Yugoslav Model 1924 'standard' configuration rifle that was modified by the Germans by the addition of bolt take down ferrules in the butt stock and some limited marking of the bolt components. This is a bolt only m/m (1924 Yugoslav bolt with different numbers) with what appears to be original finish on the stock. Bore is strong and bright, and the crown is in very nice shape.

It came with a cleaning rod and sling, but I don't know if the sling is period correct, or of post-war manufacture.

Bolt details. The Germans stamped the top of the gas shield to match the last two numbers of the bolt serial number.

This cocking piece is Yugoslav produced and marked, but was stamped by the Germans for another bolt that apparently was later cannibalized for parts.

The stock is in really nice shape with mostly crisp, clear original Yugoslav markings.

I'm not sure about the sling. Here it is:

The Spandau-marked ferrules:

Thanks again to Mrfarb and RyanE for clarifying my questions on the ferrule markings ( see here: http://www.k98kforum.com/showthread.php?9126-Where-are-these-stamps-from ).

Thanks, RyanE. While we'd all rather have bolt matching rifles, this one doesn't bother me a bit. I like the fact that its still a German- modified Yugoslav bolt, but not matching, as were many capture rifles. The price was definitely right for it...Thanks for the kind words!

Vaughan,
I'm not entirely clear on your request. Are you restoring a German-modified Yugoslav rifle, or a straight Yugoslav Model 1924 rifle?
Best,
Pat
