G43 pouch repo/original?

Are there any legitimate WWII era German mag pouches on eBay? I've always wanted to jump on those, as they seem very reasonably priced. I mostly want clarification of what their definition of "original" is. And now seeing how good the aged reproductions look, I'm all the more paranoid to spend even a little until I've educated myself.

I'm very appreciative for what I've learned reading this conversation, btw.

You can always post a WTB ad on here if you’re looking for an original one. Plenty of honest people that will help you and will have what you’re looking for.
 
Even originals no longer bring good prices because they've been so widely reproduced. No two collectors can agree on originality. There are some really artistic fakes out there, especially in German WWII militaria. I've largely stopped buying, especially at the prices being asked today.

JMHO: The Op's pouches are original.

There are ways to recognize originals, each maker has its own specifics and sewing patterns on how they made their pieces, the same goes for everything else. It's not as much of a minefield as some may portay it that way, but what do I know I guess. I have and had field used examples and have studied Leuner's, Curt Vogel's and other makers quite a bit and been hunting for period footage and documents as well. I gave an educated guess, now it's up to anyone to make up their minds. The G43 pouch topic is not that hard when you know what you are talking about, really. 🙂

Yes, prob the only legitimate WW2 item actually being shipped out of Ukraine.
