G. 12/34 Database sheet

I have 660 | 1939 6445 | b. The specifics listed are: finish 95%+, all ser#s match, bore exc., stock/hgd. exc. (with exception the former has a clean duffel cut which lines up with center of the rear barrel band). Never got around to affixing the front end permanently, as rear band seems to hold the stock together quite well. Also has a sling which is oxblood in color and stitched to a German blued steel stirrup. It appears converted to this config from another sling strap and accommodates both rear stock mounting points perfectly. Lastly, a WaA623 marked muzzle cover completes the rifle.
pwcosol is your SN 6445b? just want to make sure so input it correctly

Yes... at least this is what my records show. Rifle was acquired in the mid-1980s (amended my initial post to add it is also Luft accepted).

on Bruces 98k site section Contract rifles these is guy asking about Steyr model 12/34 so here is cover of Original Steyr handbook for the 12/34 carbine then page with Factory photos of carbine. Please add this to those talks. If you want to add this in any other site feel free to do so. Thanks, Regards,. Jon
Fal Grunt, I think this may be a S.American contract gun based on the bolt. Any more photos?

Here’s a new one for you. The following is a link to my thread.

I recently acquired rifle number 2757 a. 660 1939. It is in a VZ.24 stock at the moment but I do have the original duffel cut stock that has been repaired as well. I obtained another 12/34 stock set for it for the handguard and metal to put it back right. I will post pictures when everything comes in here in a week or two. The only part I do not have a nose cap. Where I would find one, I have no idea. I have just decided at this point my best bet is to get some measurements from someone else that has one and have a repro milled out.

I have 9855 (660 1939 no letter suffix, marked 7.91 above 660). Barrel and reciever match. Original barrel in outstanding condition. That’s it. Bolt matches itself but not the receiver/rifle. It is sitting in a complete number matching (!) Radom (WaA77) 98k stock, rings, trigger guard, floor plate, follower for the rifle that it came from. It appears someone just pulled out the barrel and reciever from Steyr/Radom rifle and dropped this one in. The hand guard is a hybrid of a 98k and the 12/34. It’s custom…LOL. The barrel and receiver look to be professionally re-blued. It’s gorgeous. Looks new. I’ve sourced all the correct parts to get it looking like it should. Using a VZ24 stock in the interim until I find some proper wood. There’s a guy in Poland who will make me one for $450….thats way too much. Practically what I paid for the rifle!

Just a stock repair is all I see, could be a military but could also be post war as well.
