Front sight DSM 34 mauser vs K98K

The short answer is probably.

I measured the dovetail tip to tip at the ends on my Gustloff DSM 34 at .208" and .212" front sight blade dovetail. Note that there is a slight taper to the dovetail.

A sample of 5 98k sights measure between .208"-218." So fit of the dovetail will depend on the individual parts due to machining variations.

The height of the 98k sample sight blades are about the same as the DSM 34 with some variation of a few thousandths.

So, requires some "trial and error."

Generally speaking, as GEM said, yes, they take a standard Mauser front sight.

Fitting may be required as noted.

Curiosity prompted me to measure a few DSM sight heights of different rifles, to regulate the rifles POI they varied about 0.060” or about 1.5mm.
