Would love to see a pic or two

Here is mine. I started by removing the shellac with Denatured Alcohol and 0000 steel wool, then cleaned and degreased the stock as much as I could. It was filthy. Next I applied an Oil Scrub with Boiled Linseed Oil, 4 coats with 0000 steel wool, followed by two hand rubbed. Finally I sealed it with 1/3 mix (equal parts Boiled Linseed oil, beeswax and turpentine).

I think it turned out pretty good.

On edit:
The one on the left is pretty rare too, can anyone tell me why?

Ex Dragoon? Or is it still a Dragoon?

Nice! `Never thought of using 1/3 mix.

The bringback is all matching except for the front band. Not hard to tell which one's the RC with that dot matrix billboard. The RC is an L block, the bringback an M block, fairly close numbers.

Those are nice. Thanks for sharing. I have two 27 1938 RC barreled actions that I built into shooters with non RC stocks - not as close together as yours - "g " block and "i" block. But we will have really arrived when we find "consecutive" rifles like Farb!

Got the shellac off easily enough. Did four layers of boiled linseed oil and then a beeswax/citric acid combo (I found it at Home Depot, it both looks and smells good  ). The only weird thing is the rifle had an area on the buttstock where it appeared someone tried to completely strip the rifle. After getting the shellac off I cleaned up what looked to be a bunch of old oil and dirt (probably from use) but this area had that Mitchell's Mauser's look to it. I'm guessing someone started to do some work on it and said 'eff it'.

The Russians removed an older stock serial number (from an earlier rework) in a very crude fashion. Very common on RC that were reworked more than once.
