Hello everyone. I have old German bayonet knife and will be thankful for any information about it. Was searching in Google but can't find anything for exactly this model/serial number. Can anyone help to identify it's manufacturing year (maybe 37 means 1937?), it was belong to soldier, officer or higher rank? Approx price? ANY info will be appreciated.

All is already deciphered its a S84/98 bayonet made by Durkopp werke AG Bielefeld, in 1937, there should be matching scabbard to the bayonet, the bayonet was rusted and probably cleaned chemically, this specimen was long time used as a knife visible on heavy sharpening of blade. Bayonet were delivered in WW2 wout sharpening also dull edge.

~25 dollars as it may only be worth somwthing to someone who wants thw grips and flashguard for a restoration project, but even they are poor condition. Looks like it was used as someones carrot puller for 50 years.

same opinion, only usable thing are the bakelite grips, which could be proper installed only on a Durkopp 37 piece, as proper WaA proof but probably not proper serialed.
