Early Walther PP SS rig

Have you checked the inside of this slide opposite the ejection port for the last three digits of the serial number that are scratched into the metal at the Walther factory?

I have not….. but I will probably this weekend…. The pistol came from a collector that is referenced as as source in both books I believe on the pp/ppk….. Legacy bought the rest of his SS pp/ppk’s that were available on setup evening I believe

I have to look on the Acknowlegement lists. I know I am on the list in Whiteman’s book on SS pistols, so it wasnt me. A number of guys had passed away and others live in Germany.

Joe I did finally get the inside of the slide checked tonight, and yes the last three digits of the serial are scratched into the metal….
The guy that I bought the pistol from is acknowledged in Stepan’s book, but not Whiteman’s
