DUV44 "f" block opinions

The metal is in amazing cond.,all matching g43.Bought this sight unseen from an add, paid 450.00 years ago.I asked the guy over the phone if the stock matched and he looked and said looks like it does.I took a chance as no returns,but how could you go wrong ,even a refinished sporter is worth that.The stock proofs on side are a lttle washed out so think it was lightly sanded or cleaned,what do you think?

Stock has been lightly sanded but an all matching G/K43 for $450? Yeah I buy one for that price any day of the week!

It is missing the sight hood but not a big deal hurts the value a little bit. But you can always add one later. Did you check your buttstock compartment by the way?

Thanks!Nothing in buttstock compartment,stock is still rough looking at the proofs must have been done a long time ago and stock swelled a bit.My camera is not letting me get a clear pic,has rod but no hood.I hate to put a repo hood on it but dont want to dump a lot of money in it.Bore looks about new.

Claus has G.43 duv44 #9096f out there. So, it's brother is somewhere.

there was also another duv44 f block just on gun broker. This one is nice with the dreaded slightly sanded stock. But, for that price who cares..

Thanks!Yeah for the price how can you ever go wrong.What would this one be worth approx?All internal parts match and thats a plus.I like the DUV rifles they seem very well made.

The last one I saw like this with a lightly sanded stock and missing the sight hood was priced at $2800. Depending on the seller maybe a little more or a little less then that price I just gave. If the stock was unsanded and it had the sight hood over $3200 IMO.

As of now I have seen the market down on these rifles this year.

But finding an unmolested G/K43 is tough, really tough. Almost everyone I find has a lightly sanded stock.

Still for $450 I be jumping up and down feeling like I just hit the lottery!

Thanks Warrior!Thats only 5 times what I paid so maybe I can live with the stock.Cant figure why most of the g/k 43s and k98s had the stocks sanded/messed with, what were they thinking!?Anyway they must have at least taken this stock off because I see no evidence of sanding on the metal,its a "good job" if you can call it that!
