DUV Manufacturer serial number question

So doing research on my DUV 41 mauser, SN# 534. According to a source or two that shows the range of serial numbers that were manufactured by this firm during 1941, as marked, my SN# is not in the range that is on this rifle. BUT, my serial number fits into the ranges that were manufactured in 1940. Does anyone know why this is or is this an error?! Examples are below:

CODE Start S/N End S/N Quantity Year Manufacturer
duv 135 4431l Unknown 1940 Berlin-Lübecker Maschinenfabrik

duv 906 9308r 179291 1941 Berlin-Lübecker Maschinenfabrik

Any information would be great as I'm still a cherry when it comes to the detailed history of these rifles. Also what would a good book be to pick up to expand my knowledge of these beauties?

Thanks,
John.

The best book will be the one we are all waiting for, Vol. II from Bruce and Farb...BBOTW is good, and the original, but has many limitations...

What is your s/n?

I don't think there was any rollover going on this early, ie, when the year ended they started the next year at 0001....so most likely you are looking at outdated data...BBOTW was a long time ago, there has been tons of research since, and have made its serial ranges kind of superfluous...

ETA Just re-read your post, if you have no letter suffix to your s/n, yours is just rifle #534 made in 1941...that number of 906 you list was just based on a lowest OBSERVED s/n...they all started (generally) at 0001 in the new year...

No it doesnt have any letters behind or in the SN#. The SN# is 534. I dont understand what u mean Pzjgr!

The s/n range you are looking at is not correct....the serial in 1941 did not start with 906, they started at 0001 and went on...once they hit 9999 they went to 0001 a, and so on. Your rifle was made in 1941 it was number 534 off the line. The range you quoted was based on observed serial numbers at the time...it just happens that at the time, no s/n lower than 906 was observed...but as you have 534 you can see it is incorrect.
