Hi
i know a few people have made replacement sections for people like me whose forward stock section was lost after being duffle cut. Is anyone currently doing these?
I have seen some very good ones made but none that would duplicate the scrub walnut that I need

Old vz24 stocks are a good source of walnut front ends. I have one .

Here it is next to a k98k stock. Modifying it is not that difficult .

I have thought of trying to use a wwi era g98 stock front section, I have seen some that are close in color and grain. Have measured size and barrel channel and seem close. Anyone ever try this?

The profile is going to be different enough to be noticeable. Plus, Gew98 stocks are frankly better used restoring Gew98s. Those stocks aren't exactly cheap and plentiful either.
