Dresden Sterngewehr rear sling mount question

hi all, in the process of cleaning up the sterngewehr, i noticed the rear sling mount has a sling loop attached. i looked over a bunch of rifles in the sticky section and didnt see any others with this style sling attachment point. is this one a as issued mount or did bubba add a hangar to the original mount? if thats all bubba did to the rifle ill be happy to cut the hangar off

It’s post German service done. I’d remove it myself.

Yeah, a pretty common way to attach a non German sling... Just bend it out carefully with pliers

I noticed that as well when you posted it but for some reason I thought of the Austrian modification where the sling loop is huge to accept there Steyr M95 slings. Model 1912 or 1914 is what it was called but it was left over 7x57MM rifles Steyr had made for Argentina? Need to watch that C&Rsenal video again.
