Late rifles have fewer markings than early rifles. If you are talking about the stock, just about the only marking should be a small eagle over H on the right side of the butt. As mentioned earlier in this thread, late stocks were not numbered to the rifle.

Thank you. I wish I had been into k's earlier to have been able to find Volume 3 of the now famous trilogy. I've got Volume 2 and 2a.

There is no sign of the eagle or H so i'm not sure if this means a refinish or not.

Another semi Kreigs DOT 44

Here is a really nice rifle I got at the SOS...fresh from the attic look....untouched FWIW I got it at the SOS from an older guy selling 2 or 3 hunting rifles....he knew it was a "german rifle" and got his price by looking it up on the internet....he got it from the deceased vets family who...

I hate doing the value thing but you asked again. It's probably not far off in 2023. I'd like to really have a deep look at the stock/hand guard and more details about the bolt. If the bolt is all matching/correct, that matters in value, as does 'whose' bolt it is.
