Late rifles have fewer markings than early rifles. If you are talking about the stock, just about the only marking should be a small eagle over H on the right side of the butt. As mentioned earlier in this thread, late stocks were not numbered to the rifle.

Thank you. I wish I had been into k's earlier to have been able to find Volume 3 of the now famous trilogy. I've got Volume 2 and 2a.

There is no sign of the eagle or H so i'm not sure if this means a refinish or not.

Any idea on value of this ? Currently priced at $1200
I hate doing the value thing but you asked again. It's probably not far off in 2023. I'd like to really have a deep look at the stock/hand guard and more details about the bolt. If the bolt is all matching/correct, that matters in value, as does 'whose' bolt it is.
