Deer Gun which might have once been a K98 SSR

I'm honestly not sure on this one. Seller never indicated that this apparent matching k98 had been a sniper. Seller was selling as deer rifle. Rifle had been sported as well as drilled/taped and fitted with bases on top of receiver. However, on the side of the receiver are three drilled and taped holes which might fit an early type SSR. Just not sure if the spacing on the holes would be correct for a early SSR.

Hello,

not a SSR the hole pattern from the missing mount is consistent with the USA Echo brand and a few others on the 50/60/70's era

Thanks Vaughn 99.

I'm sure your on point since you have a good eye for scopes. I just wasn't sure. Sad that it happened to a matching gun but, at least it wasn't a SSR.
