Just posting an interesting one that went through a Canadian auction house. Completed auction, I did not purchase, just reposting for interest’s sake.

Fitted with bayonet lug and includes cleaning rod. Non-matching serial numbers. Experimental late war model. Markings include "NUR FUR KURZ PATRONE" and "8X33" on top of barrel, 'Mod. 98 byf 45", and "CJB" in a circle on top of receiver, "KURZ" on mag follower, electric pencil "2Z19" on bolt, "7878" on stock etc. Experimental rifle adapted to use the 8X33 Kurz ( short cartridge) late in WWII.
