Oh wow big price differenceWhere do you see common byf 44 that are all matching these days ??? Last one I seen in the wild was four years ago and it was a byf 42 for $1200
sounds like you’re chumming for the seller………..(but I don’t disagree w/some of your points)It Looks Like a very nice original matching piece. Whats 4 bills these days get you ??? See if he knocks off 2 bills and go from there. In a few months who knows what your going to be able to buy ??? If you like it and want it and have the money for it jump. Its not going to depreciate in value its only going to go up after November. I say buy it. No coulda shoulda, woulda and its long gone.
If this byf43 is from the seller I think it is, I would personally stay away out of principle. He has been known to sell materially misrepresented rifles or flat out fakery in the past, for stupid nosebleed prices. You're better off here on the forum than the minefield that is Gunjoker. Not to mention it is $3200 + actual shipping (probably a stupid amount like $100 ), the GB "convenience fee", 2% extra if you use a credit card (any sane person would), and sales tax to put the cherry on top. You're looking at probably $3500-3700 there. You can get so much more bang for your buck through a private sale.
Oh wow that’s nuts!Typical listing from the plumber. His k98’s are ridiculously expensive and come with some lengthy descriptions. I bought 2 rifles from this seller, and both were humped and reconstructed fakes. Got burned bad, personally I would avoid this guy.
Yep especially one being a byf 44 late war…. Humped mag plate and butt plate had serials…Oh wow that’s nuts!

Doesn't he offer a 3 day no firing inspection period? Thought he did.Typical listing from the plumber. His k98’s are ridiculously expensive and come with some lengthy descriptions. It’s definitely a shock to see prices soar! Thanks for you input! All theses prices sound crazy to me and just nuts. There is no point stating “ I remember when” but for Pete Sake I’m only in my early 40s and I could get RC’ k98s for $175 and all matching for $800-900. If you were willing to drop 3k$ on a k98 I’d seek out someone on this site that can be trusted, or what 99 mentioned, you’ll most likely save some money.
Sorry for the Rant
God Bless and good luck
Yeah he does.Doesn't he offer a 3 day no firing inspection period? Thought he did.
You’re right. I like getting people’s thoughts on what I find so I know what to look for. Really unless a lot of people think “it’s the deal of a lifetime”, I am only window shopping. I am ready to pay a fair price for a good one, but I need to make sure it’s good.Doing business with dishonest people is not a question of if you will get burned, but when. Don't take the risk, it is never worth it. I know if you're new to collecting K98s that it can be very frustrating waiting for the right righteous rifle to come along, especially if you are eager and impatient. Don't rush your way into making a decision when you get burned. I think there has been a lot of good advice on this thread and a couple others you have posted... Seriously consider it. At the end of the day the choice is yours to make.
