very interesting photo.. These are great to see as this shows how they were done. In batches with one sole artist doing the brush work.
Looks to me its cloth or burlap being applied then painted in a multicolor camo pattern.
I have only ever seen one helmet done like this that even had a hint of looking real. The helmet is still listed and I borrowed the photos.
Really glad this pic is posted. This is one of the helmets I was questioning earlier. Interesting to see a pic of this type of camo being produced. Thanks for reposting the helmet Mauser.
Thanks.. I saw this one when it was listed for sale a few years ago. The dealer is so proud of it he has left the ad up there since then...
I know who bought it and he's a camo whore but, he has some I don't really care for.. To each his own I guess.. He paid big money for it and Im sure will own it for a long time.
I guess Karl ripped the burlap taking it off making sure the helmet wasn't an SS.Previously as found it wasn't ripped.
