What on earth Matt? Man, you've posted some sweeeet rifles lately. That's a dream K98k of mine. Walnut, byf45, zf41, it has it all.
 
Cool rifle...that stock almost looks like maple with that nice even grain...Most at the end are kind of lacking grain.

Great looking gun. I’ve got a walnut one about 1k away and have always been concerned about the lack of chatter on the stock but feel much better seeing this one which is clearly untouched and original. Mine looks pretty similar with crips stamps. Any thoughts on why so well finished so late? Mike?
