A few years ago, I posted some quick photos of this rifle to ensure it was legit, and then got it for a fantastic price. Bought it from a hardware store that my family has known the people there for decades. I added the mount and scope later, and of course I’m always looking for the matching mount. (Have eBay alerts active). Rifle is all matching with the exception of the mount of course. Bore is mirror bright and it’s a good looker. Stock was duffel cut, but was repaired to perfection by Mark Novak. Currently sitting in a sporterized stock to preserve the original. Pics in the link. Thanks!

Why keep it in a sporter stock??

looks good but that white stuff is terrible. I’d remove it.

I shoot it every now and then. And yeah I plan on getting around to removing the white

yeah i figured if something were to gone shooting it, it’s going to be the stock. The sporter it has on it is still an original K98k stock, but someone back in the day carved a huge deer head on the butt. But again, don’t shoot it often lol
