BYF 44 matching p38

Just picked this up today from a local show to fill a hole in my collection. Matching numbers, no import mark. Name on the bottom of one of the grips, I’m assuming it’s the soldier that brought it home. W block

Really nice one. If the named grip bothers you it can easily be replaced as those grips aren’t hard to locate.

Of all the P.38’s out there, oddly the byf44’s seem to have survived in the best condition.

Thanks, I may pick up another grip but where it’s at it doesn’t really bother me whereas if it was on the side it would bother me more. Of the two I looked at, this one had the clearer stamps and better finish and it’s a shadow box purchase so looks are a big plus
