This early all blue L block came from Bob Jensen around 1990,to a well recognized collector here in New Zealand.Now in his mid 80s he is selling his collection,based around the Afrikakorps firearms and memorabilia,infact he wrote a 200 page book on the Nazis in North Africa with 250 previously unpublished photos [a must read, see photo] Bob Jensen bought it off the Vet that picked it up,it still wears that original sling.

Really neat example, thanks for posting, I've seen a couple of 45's with unstained stocks but not a late 44! Do you have the book details on AK? Sounds interesting

Would you mind taking a closer pic of the beginning of the barrel code ?
It looks like the letter had been stamped and restamped.
