BYF 43, G Block 20740

This is a recent addition and it came directly from the veteran's son, which is a first for me. It had some rust and dust that cleaned off nicely. Its never been in a collection until now and it is one of my favorites due to its personal history.

Really fantastic byf43 Raven. Byf43's tend to be the most common code I come across in nice original conidition. But its always cool to see a killer example like this. Thanks for sharing.

Damn, what a stunning rifle! Your g block is in much better shape than the e block I just picked up (our stocks are only 4 weeks apart) and the provenance of coming directly from a vet's family just adds to the wow factor on this one. You know, we don't have a g block byf 43 in the reference thread...

One thing I’ve noticed on byf ‘43 production is the semi off texture/finish on the front barrel band. I wonder if the final polishing before being blued wasn’t as refined, compared to earlier production.

I always assumed those bands were sintered iron.
