Unfortunately, these pics are coming out very tiny. Have any way of re-sizing them?

Sorry. I reposted them. For some reason I couldn't get them to show up any bigger as an attatchment.

Pretty common marking on these buttplates, but still a nice surprise when you find them.

Here mine too Jeremy. On that 42 byf. I had actually wondered how common they were. They are a nice surprise.

Great ink stamps guys! Thanks for posting.

I find it interesting how they seem to appear somewhat randomly, as in not every brg WaA 497 buttplate has the ink stamp. What is the significance of the ink stamp? Why do some have it and others not?

Does anyone have one from something later than 1943?

So many questions.:googlie

Thanks for the larger pictures JBMauser, that's a very neat stamp.

I recently acquired a third variation of these on my byf 42 k block and thought I'd update with some pics. I'll post all three different variations here although the first two have been posted previously. Pics all in opening post now.

Very nice inspection stamps! And the orange base paint looks very good as well. So far those are the only ones I've seen. Not too many photos floating around on the web. Thanks for link, I really enjoyed it!!!

I received my 4th variation of the ink stamped buttplates today. Unmarked outside with a WaA A66 stamp inside. There are several more variations that I am aware of and am trying to get a hold of. If I'm lucky enough to add them to my collection I will post them up as well.

Also if anyone else has a variant not posted please feel free to add to this thread. I like seeing these even if they are some what common and not important.
