Like Georg said, you’re just seeing some separation in the end plug of the stock. It’s either a thick laminate build up or filled with a thixotropic of sorts.

Thanks, good eye ! Now I see the joint between the plate and the stock.

These stocks are really cool. One turned up at a local shop, an interesting point about them, is that they don’t sound like a regular 98k when you cycle the bolt, the hollow nature of the stock makes it resonate differently.
