bnz 42 rifles don't pop up too often that aren't RC. I saw this one a while ago and was dumbfounded that it now has a bid. Lots of issues that I can see on this one, front band and stock (type/numbers) are the two that are most glaring. I love how there is no clear picture of the fudged barrel channel numbers. Font on the front band isn't close, apparent overstamp of the 3rd digit, not to mention that band itself is wrong. I have an original, matching bnz 42 c block. I may be wrong but Steyr switched over to cupped buttplate stocks well before 1942 and were using a solid speed milled band in 1942. I still can't believe that people don't research before they plunk down a ton of money on a pig in a silk hat!!
