Jeff , I know someone who would love to have those . If You would like to know who , I will tell You just ask me !!!!

this set shows possible repaint. And post war use by eastern block country. I think Romania ?? The highlighted area small double
square box and B were added. Typically not there. Finnish issue types Have Box SA. Romania or another country used this mark.

Zeiss had a contract for Sweden and late war a Romanian contract.

Hensoldt may have had one as well ?

Overall nice set with hard to find shoulder strap.

I will dig out one of my sets to compare.

I wondered about the double box and B marks, thanks!

You never stop learning, thanks for the info.

Jeff

I have more sets than I need.. for sure. If you look on ebay sometimes there are folks from Eastern Europe selling these with the same marks.
I cant be 100% if it was a wartime contract for Hensoldt or post war used. But not German. Zeiss had the largest export contract sending lots to Sweden and the Swedish boxes are different and the glasses are as well.

Is wartime Romanian contract a possibility? To me, that is more interesting than wartime German (I have plenty of those).

Thanks!
