BLM K.43 ac45 #1797f

Hello,
Here is a rare one. A BLM ac45 f block. This one is neat because of course the dual manufacture, but it’s also neat because it’s the SECOND earliest one I have recorded in my serial number listings. The first one is BLM K.43 ac45 #1696f reported in the book “Rough Forged”, volume 2, page 105 by Darrin Weaver. The majority of the dual manufactured ac45 f blocks start at K.43 ac45 #4589f. So, maybe this one is one of the first few that tricked in before a whole shipment came into BLM from Walther? (My guess of course).

Also cool is that it’s one of the Walther milled off scope mount railed receivers too. The stock has been hit (of course!) and it oddly only has ONE final proof side e/WaA214 stamp….should have two. The stock keel might have been hit too but the serial number is retained and the cursive “f” is there.

I don’t think the owner knows what he has as his description says nothing about this information. But he wants a pretty penny for it as his auction starts at $5,900.00. Neat rare one, but for a stock that’s been hit like that I personally believe the price is ATROCIOUS.

Photos are from the auction site and posted for viewing and refernce.IMG_1991.jpegIMG_1994.jpegIMG_1987.jpegIMG_1988.jpegIMG_1992.jpegIMG_1989.jpegIMG_1990.jpeg

Damn, such a shame on the stock but a very rare K43 regardless. Too bad more people couldn't just leave those stocks alone, did any of the proofs on the keel survive?

My first and only k43 is an f block, picked it up by chance. I need a mismatch beater to take to the range! *added photos*

Agreed. Other than the serial number and “f” I don’t know if any of the wrist proofs or the keel proof stamp survived. I’m guessing they probably didn’t.
