blc scope SN ? Dave Roberts?

I saw a listing for a blc coded scope with serial number 338xxx. Isn't the serial number awful high for an original?

Depends on why You say or think its High . these Scopes have a 6 digit Serial Number mine is 339235 and another just posted is 339265 . What was that one ? Best Regards

I believe the reason for such high number the serial block of these scope fall in between serials used on there WWII bino's

I mean: one blc scope 339xxx issued for a LT in the k block and an other blc scope, within the same serial range, issued for HT in the i block, 11 months later ?
Don't you think all blc scopes were initially issued for LT K ?

There is too little data to give a full statement. I know of HT in I-block and I know of HT without letter suffix.

I do not know one with LT mount. Matter of factly I own the one in Spielauer book with LT mount I-block, but these (original) rings were added (by previous scope owner), scope had seen PW commercial use

In my earlier post , I was referring only to my blc HT Scope Pictured . I know exactly which letter block this set came from . It was Mounted to a Bubbafied. i Block Turret Rifle. I bought the complete Rifle from an auction house. I kept the Scope with Rings & Base and destroyed part went to Vaughn . The Serial of Barreled Receiver was matching to front Scope Ring #. Maybe Vaughn would be so kind as to post pics of Barreled Rec. . If not I believe I may still have a couple auction pics of this Rifle . Best Regards

I don't know Dave you might be slipping : ) . the rifle Dave is talking about is in the k (K) block of 1943. Dave owns the scope that matched my Rifles serial. like Dave said it was sported quite a bit but currently working on bringing it back. hope if Dave ever lets that scope set up go I can get it LOL if I could ever afford it. the reason I say LT/HT for BLC is in the k (K) of 1943 you can see were MO changed from LT to HT builds no 11 months apart the same week if not couple weeks : ).
