bcd/ar43 is very tough code to get.
Took me years to work a trade on one.
Another recently appeared on an auction site and my buddy got that one.

5 to 1 ratio of bcd/ar42 vs. bcd/ar43...IMO from my experience. This is on existing examples, not actual production data.

bruce the few 43s i have seen all had sniper scopes.. weather they were added or not i could not say..

this one im looking at is a standard k98

Any dual code is pretty scarce or uncommon. Generally they were recycled or contracted receivers etc and as a result it is almost impossible to determine production numbers. From personal experience maybe 1/20 to 1/50 are dual codes that I have come across?? I would put them on the same level as a BSW coded rifle. Again this is just my own experience and opinion.

After collecting since the early 80s I can say that the bcd/ar 43 is far harder to find than the bcd/ar 42 variants. Finding one original, matching, unmessed with in excellent condition is extremely difficult.

As Ham correctly stated, the 42 dated dual codes are far more common.
The super rare 43 dated dual code from the Berlin plant would be a ce43 receiver supplied to Borsigwalde and finished there (E/26 receiver inspection).
